The last few days have been eventful as usual. We hosted Thanksgiving lunch yesterday, then went to a friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Neither were large events, and I really don't mind. Not many kids running around, which is good for having to deal with fourteen of them, all but one younger than you. The eldest isn't too much of hassle; he just hangs around watching DVDs the whole time; he's not a very social guy. Then again, neither am I, but I still won't turn down a Warcraft III LAN match or a few rounds of Brawl.
To be honest, I'm not very happy with a few of the wallpapers I've made recently. They look good when shrunken slightly while editing them, but when they go to full-size, they just look crappy. I guess the amount of time you put into it does affect how well it turns out, and a lot of recent ones (with the exception of Wallpaper 16) have been short, hour-long works.
College applications are slowly getting worked on; we did the final revisions for one university already, so one down, four to go. As per usual, the process is painful, and I'll repeat the fact that I hate writing structured essays and the like. However, I hope to have things ready to go before my birthday.
Speaking of my birthday, my parents are sort of asking me what I want to do for my birthday, which is now one and a half weeks away from now. It's a bit odd to think about the fact I'm getting older; I've always accepted that fact, and my birthday has become nothing than another day.
Moving on...I've been trying out a new game called Huxley: The Dystopia. The past three days have been a limited open beta, and so far, I'm liking it. It has elements of an MMORPG, such as requiring you to equip armours and weapons that have certain attributes, RPG-style quests, various races and class combinations with their own perks, Instance Dungeons (which you can form parties/squads for), a world map and a meta city area where you can purchase goods, and a persistent and constantly shifting lines of battle (PVP world) that affects the city area. The combat, however, is purely a First-Person Shooter rather than an RPG; meaning you are looking down scopes and iron sights and gunning them down rather than running up to them and casting some random spell or start randomly bashing them.
